In a time of recession the serious companies do not cut their advertising budgets- on contrary they increase it to preserve their marketing positions, according experts’ analysis. For example, most often is cited the economic research of McGraw-Hill, carried out with 600 companies in the period of 1980 – 1985 year. The conclusion was that those companies that have not stopped investing in advertising in a time of recession during 1981 -1982, later increased in sales with 256 % comparing to their competitors.
